One of my favorite things to do is find really cheap clothes through thrifting and make different outfits out of them. My favorite place to find clothes is the Clothing XChange in Hillsboro Village in Nashville. You can bring in clothes and get either cash or store credit to get new fabulous clothes. They also have vintage pieces and a ton of amazing shoes. If you live anywhere in the Nashville area, I highly recommend it! (http://www.nashvilleclothingxchange.com/)
I hate wearing the exact same thing twice. I try to at least change a scarf or a necklace with every outfit. This seems crazy, I know, but most of my clothes are super cheap. Every once in a while, I’ll post a picture of one of my outfits so hopefully you can find some inspiration too!
Every piece of clothing in the outfit is thrifted (yay! I always have to give myself a pat on the back when I can do this!). The shirt is from an antique shop in my hometown, Chesterton, IN called Yesterday’s Treasures. The belt, skirt, and shoes were all purchased at Goodwill. Goodwill is very hit or miss with me, but sometimes you can find some treasures! I would guess that this whole outfit costs a total of about $10 or $12.
The trick with thrifting is to not get disappointed if you can’t find anything good. Also, usually, you can’t be looking for anything in specific, because chances are, you won’t find what you want. Keep an open mind and an open eye for fun things to create outfits. Don’t forget, you can always alter things with a sewing machine if you have one!
