Last night some friends introduced me to a movie that is one of my new favorites.
The Virgin Suicides
This is a haunting but beautiful story about 5 sisters, their super overprotective parents and a group of young boys’ fascination with discovering who the Lisbon sisters really were. A young Kirsten Dunst and Josh Hartnett star in this wonderful indie drama film. This film is shot so beautifully. There are so many amazing still shots and color effects that completely complement the movie perfectly. I was so entrances by the movie the whole time and it never lost my attention (which is saying a lot because I am quite ADD when it comes to movie watching).
I want to start watching more movies, especially amazing ones like this.
Here are some fabulous still shots from the film.
I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from the movie, “We knew the girls were really women in disguise, that they understood love, and even death, and that our job was merely to create the noise that seemed to fascinate them.”
